Supporting our apprentice's wellbeing in the winter months
As the days have gotten shorter and our apprentices prepare for the end of the Autumn term, we have been sharing our best well-being tips and resources through our online weekly Winter Wellbeing series.
Taking care of our mental health can increase resilience and happiness, that’s why we make it a priority to promote a culture of well-being in all our programmes. Each week, we focus on a particular theme of self-care, such as:
- Self-care planning: as stress can cause us to neglect the behaviours that would help us cope better, it is important to create a structure in advance.
- Mindfulness: Evidence suggests getting rid of ‘what-if’ thinking and bringing ourselves into the present leads to lower stress levels and better management of stress.
- Mood monitoring: Mood monitoring helps us to identify what our triggers are so that we can better mitigate and prepare for the moments where stress and anxiety arise.
We’re proud to say that our feedback shows that 100% of our apprentices feel that they have been supported to feel safe and positive on their programme, and 100% of our apprentices feel that they have received support when they needed it.
