- Employed by a school or nursery in England
- Have lived in the UK or wider European Economic Area for the last three years
- Have photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence
- Have a National Insurance number
- Have discussed the training programme you would like to go on and have the support of your school and line manager
- Are not currently using a student loan for any study
- Are not enrolled on any other government-funded training programme currently
