Caroline James started her Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship in 2022 as a career changer, with no previous experience working in schools. Eighteen months later, she has almost completed her apprenticeship and is sure that she’s found the career for her.

In the wake of a stark report by the Institute for Fiscal Studies revealing the UK’s social mobility at its lowest in fifty years, the importance of initiatives like apprenticeships in breaking down barriers cannot be overstated.

Jill Measures is the Programme Lead of United Learning’s HR Support in Education apprenticeship. With over 37 years of HR experience in both the private and public sector, Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of effective HR support.
