HR Support in Education (Level 3)

HR Support in Education (Level 3)

Tailored to HR support in educational settings, this foundation programme is designed for those new to the world of HR. 

You will learn key systems, policies and processes and how to use these effectively to support your school setting. 

You might be a new joiner in a school’s HR department, or in a related role such as administration. You could be working in different field with a desire to enter HR. 

Prior experience working in a school or with young people isn’t essential. An interest in working closely with people and contributing to a high-quality working environment is a must.  

Early Years Educator (Level 3)

Early Years Educator (Level 3)

Want to work in Early Years? This programme provides a secure foundation to pursue a career as an early years practitioner, nursery teaching assistant or nursery nurse.  

You will complete the course as a skilled observer and communicator who can plan and shape effective learning for children under the age of 5. 

We’re looking for people who enjoy working with young children and want to further their knowledge and understanding of the theory behind early years support and development.  

Apprentices can join this course with little to no experience. While some classroom experience is preferred, it doesn’t need to be extensive and isn’t essential.   

Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

Enter the classroom and become a qualified Teaching Assistant with an apprenticeship. 

Designed to reflect current research and pedagogy, you will learn how to create effective learning environments and support students with a diverse range of needs. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop a specialism such as literacy, EAL, or SEND. 

We’re looking for people who are open-minded, willing to learn, and want to make a meaningful impact to the lives of children and their education.

School Sports Coach (Level 4)

School Sports Coach (Level 4)

Become a school sports coach with funded training. 

This programme is open to aspiring sports coaches who want to work in schools, current teaching assistants looking to pivot into sport, and current teachers wanting to upskill. 

You will use your passion for sports to create and deliver engaging coaching in schools, playing a part in getting children active and making a difference to their holistic wellbeing.  

Apprentices should have a desire to work in sport and be passionate about developing young people to support their physical and mental wellbeing. Experience working with children or in a school isn’t essential.  

ICT (Level 3)

ICT (Level 3)

This course supports indivudals who are passionate about using technolgy to imrpove business operations and user experiences.

Apprentices learn how to deliver efficient IT support, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and maintain secure and reliable digital systems.

After successfully completing the programme, staff will be qualified IT support technicians and be able to apply the right tools and techniques to optimise system performance and provide effective technical solutions. 

How it works

Elegibility & Enrolment

  • Apprentices must be employed in a relevant role for at least 30 hours per week (or a minimum of 16 hours with an agreed extension).
  • Employers and apprentices sign a commitment statement outlining their responsibilities.

 

Training & Learning

  • Apprentices complete a mix of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning (a minimum of 6.5 hours per week).
  • Training sessions are delivered online and in person by industry-experienced professionals.

  • Each apprentice is assigned a dedicated programme lead for one-to-one guidance.
  • Regular progress reviews ensure apprentices stay on track.

Assessment

Assessment

You will complete tasks and assignments during your apprenticeship to build your portfolio. Programme Leads provide tailored feedback on these, but they aren’t formally graded. Instead, they help build your knowledge and prepare you for your final assessment. 

Your final grade is determined from the End Point Assessment (EPA) you complete towards the end of the programme. An EPA typically includes a project, observation, and/or professional discussion, and is assessed by an external End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). 

Eligibility

There is no age limit to studying an apprenticeship.

So long as you are aged 16 or over and are eager to learn, you can apply. 

Each programme has its own eligibility criteria.

Who can apply

Our apprenticeship programmes are open to all schools and nurseries, whether you are a levy-paying or non-levy-paying employer. Apprenticeships can be used to upskill existing staff or to train new hires, providing a structured, high-quality professional development pathway.

 

All apprentices will be subject to appropriate DBS checks and required to undertake safeguarding training.
