How it works

Our apprenticeship programmes are designed to support school support staff in developing their skills while continuing to work. Here's how it works:

Eligibility & Enrolment

  • Apprentices must be employed in a relevant role for at least 30 hours per week (or a minimum of 16 hours with an agreed extension).
  • Employers and apprentices sign a commitment statement outlining their responsibilities.

Training & Learning

  • Apprentices complete a mix of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning (a minimum of 6.5 hours per week).
  • Training sessions are delivered online and in person by industry-experienced professionals.

Support & Progress Tracking

  • Each apprentice is assigned a dedicated programme lead for one-to-one guidance.
  • Regular progress reviews ensure apprentices stay on track.

Assessment & Completion

  • Apprentices work towards their End-Point Assessment (EPA), demonstrating their skills and knowledge.
  • Upon successful completion, they receive an industry-recognised qualification.
